OUR VISION
The Well is made up of two churches that are growing as apprentices of Jesus, doing life with Him, doing life like Him, and connecting people to Him
10:30am | Lincombe Barn, Overndale Road, BS16 2RW
At The Well Church, we normally have a time of creative worship, an interactive discussion around a passage from the Bible, and separate, lively groups for children (age 4-10) and teenagers (age 11-16).
As a family friendly environment, we also have a space for a creche in the hall. We welcome everyone to feel relaxed to grow in relationship with others as we explore faith together, whatever stage of the journey you are at.
NLC is an independent, charismatic and evangelical church, who formally associates with the Woodlands group of churches. Together, they share the same heart and vision, especially for our own city, believing it will take all of us to see our city reached for Jesus and for it to flourish and grow.
Waterbrook Church is an Elim Network Church. We are an independent, charismatic and evangelical church, but connected to the Elim Pentecostal churches denomination. This means we can build local and regional relationships so this partnership can continue to further the Kingdom here in North Bristol, and beyond.
What’s On?
We believe that Jesus has given us the Great Command to Love God and Love others with all our hearts; and the Great Commission to Go and make disciples. Our vision for The Well builds on the independent identities and histories of the two churches, and takes inspiration from this verse for our shared future; “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14 ESV
Both churches started life in homes with a handful of committed people, eager to see God move in a new way. New Life found a home in Frenchay, and Waterbrook in Stapleton. Over the years, these two churches have partnered occasionally on prayer meetings, outreach events and Alpha courses. In 2025, this partnership was solidified further with a commitment to annual Alpha courses, community events, prayer initiatives, and now, joining together for services on Sundays too. We have a vision to grow together, experience the Spirit of God in fresh ways, and plant new churches, all from a position of unity.
